The Evenlode, situated in the village of Eynsham, is delighted to announce that it is now under new ownership and to reveal the exciting plans in store for this iconic West Oxfordshire pub. Acquired by Prospect Pubs & Bars for £1.75 million, the site is about to undergo a further £1.2 million renovation project, enhancing and extending the pub’s dining and events space whilst also adding 24 boutique en-suite bedrooms to the offering.
The Evenlode also sees a new menu coming into play from Monday 8 July, featuring a range of proper pub classics, including their soon to become legendary Butchers Grill and healthier options such as their colourful vegan superfood salad.
Expect a menu that focuses on quality and value, where premium locally sourced ingredients lead the way and family favourites firmly have their place. Their Sunday lunch menu is sure to turn heads too. Delicious roasts, boat-sized Yorkies, real gravy and all the trimmings make The Evenlode’s Sunday roasts a vision to behold. Plus, head there after 4pm every Sunday and you can enjoy one of their roasts for just £10.
Ideally located within close proximity of the A40, The Evenlode is a much-loved pub amongst the local community. The further space and accommodation that the refurbishment project will deliver aims to extend the pub’s appeal to additional leisure and business guests.
Taking up the reins at The Evenlode is accomplished general manager, David Keogh. With over 25 years of experience in the hospitality trade, David previously ran the award-winning Carnarvon Arms Hotel based near Highclere Castle in Berkshire. He brings with him the love of delivering a true British pub experience and a love of engaging and working with his local community and producers.
